Uni of Aberdeen hosts Scottish eye health workshop

Workshop focusing on Scotland’s eye health hosted at the University of Aberdeen

A workshop focusing on Scotland’s eye health will be hosted at the University of Aberdeen as part of National Eye Health Week.

Due to start at noon on September 23, the workshop has been organised by Optometry Scotland and Dr Alexandros Zangelidis of the University’s Business School, who will be presenting his research on Scottish eye care between 2012 and 2016.

Chair of Optometry Scotland David Quigley said: ‘We are delighted to be part of this event which takes an in-depth look at the country’s biggest eye care challenges. We’ll be discussing a range of issues - from concerns around lower uptake of optometry services in less affluent sections of the community, to the need for early intervention at the front-line of eye care.’
