WHO speaker announced

Organisers of the Vision UK 2013 conference have invited World Health Organization public health expert Dr Ivo Kocur to deliver a keynote speech on the global approach to reducing blindness.

On the speech, Dr Kocur said: 'I hope that the work of the global programme and the Vision Strategy will inspire and encourage those working in the eye health and sight loss sectors across the UK.'

The one-day conference at London's Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre on June 11 will also see the launch of a refreshed UK Vision Strategy for 2013-2018.
