World Sight Day challenge approaches

Staff, patients, industry partners and students of optometry have been called upon to raise funds throughout September and October as part of the World Sight Day challenge.

‘We have the opportunity to make a direct impact by having fun in our day to day activities whilst eliminating avoidable blindness due to the simple need of an eye examination and spectacles – a very empowering role that I invite everyone to join in with.’ said Nicholas Rumney, Optometry Giving Sight national committee chair and trustee.
