A glimmer of light in these dark times

Happy New year.

I must first apologise for my initial post of 2016 being so short on optometry. It just so happened that a couple of emails flew in, prompted no doubt, by the start of the professional cycling season. Don't get me wrong, this is eyewear related.

I feel entitled to this diversion as I was at Alcon's headquarters in Surrey yesterday with about 20 smart, young eye care professionals who between them made up the first cohort of the Alcon Scholarship. Having spent the two years undergoing various education and training courses and gaining experiences courtesy of Alcon they were undergoing a kind of passing out parade.
