Irony is rarely funny

magoo.jpgThere was some interesting research published by the insurance firm LV= car insurance recently that put some numbers to the problem of poor vision and driving. 

It was really good stuff ( see Optician September 17th) very consumery, easy to understand. It was also backed up by quotes from  LV  pointing out that if drivers had defective vision their claims might not be honoured.

This is perhaps the best piece of news on drivers' vision for some time. The public won't visit the optician to correct their vision or prevent blindness but no one wants to shell out needlessly on insurance premiums.
