The occupational hazzards of working in an optical practice are raised from time to time and one of those is aches and pains in consulting rooms.
This week a report from Australia raises the issue and points the finger at the increased level of repetitive tests that now need to be conducted.
In the past I have been keen to encourage one of the suppliers of modern refraction equipment to fund some research on the issue. I have not had much success. When declining my kind offer the conversation usually goes something along the lines of: ' Why would I want my compnay name and logo associated with an article on bad backs.'
