What comes of less surprise to this eye care practitioner is that J&J's study found its lens to be superior, whereas in the CIBA study, the Focus lens came out on top. Who'd'a thought, eh?

For about 20 years now I've had a blanket ban in my practice on reps producing graphs. For this very reason, they're meaningless and if they didn't say precisely what the particular company intended them to show we wouldn't be offered them anyway. The phrase 'very comfortable lens' is surely preferable to 'statistically significant within p<0.005 in a chi-squared factor analysed inverse t-test.'
