I read with interest this recent piece of research on packing habits of the nation, which stated that four out of 10 respondents who wear contact lenses forgot to pack their contact lens kit http://finance.yahoo.com/news/survey-reveals-packing-habits-nation-060000765.html;_ylt=A2KJ2Ua66PhRxysAZZnQtDMD. Having packed my contact lens solution in my main luggage but left my contact lenses behind on one of my last major trips, I seem to buck the trend, but nonetheless can fully understand how it happens the other way round. The danger of leaving your solutions and case behind is that people then go on to wear their lenses for long periods and are not able to clean them properly. And here's where the sponsor of the survey, Contactspod, comes into it - the company supplies pre-filled single-use contact lens cases that come in a single pack and, more handily for holiday-makers, a travel pack. I'm going to give the product a whirl myself and am confident that next time I board a flight, I will have both my lenses and a means to store them along with me. It might also be handy to keep one in my gym kit for those irregular trips to the swimming pool.
