Optician often plays Devil's advocate. Sometimes the response is swift and outspoken other times measured and muted. This article has created a bit of a stir out in the market.
Several people have mentioned it to me and were shocked by its suggestion that patients looking for an eye test only should be sent to the nearest multiple. However, this impact has not translated into feedback.
I think the message is: Be outspoken, but not too outspoken.
