The royal wedding proved a real fillip . In one fell swoop it cheered up the whole mood of the country, brought everyone together and even sorted out some decent bank holiday weather...well perhaps not the last one.

While I was enjoying the happy couple's day ( see post on other blog) it struck me that the event was also good for business and not just bunting manufacturers. My exhaustive study of the abbey concluded that lots of choir boys wear specs. Perhaps there is a market out there the optical business should be promoting.
Pippa Middleton has been billed the most elligible woman in the country, Harry was rumoured to have got closer to Chelsy perhaps a few more royalish weddings are in the offing?
Let's hope so. When the dates are announced I will use this blog to alert every optician in the country so they can get down to their local church choir and check out the market.
