Francesca Blackmore finds that the differences between optical practise in England and Wales are more impactful than she realised

Last weekend, my husband and I were invited by SightCare to watch a rugby game in its executive box with a few fellow optical business owners.
I usually try to avoid networking invitations, mainly because – despite the fact that I have become very adept at concealing it – I am a bit of an introvert. Although I usually have a nice time in the end, I often dread the very idea of socialising and find myself wondering if it’s too late to back out and stay home.
That being said, the day was actually completely fantastic, and I ended up very happy that I had agreed to go along.
