AOP details hospital conference programme

The Hospital Optometrists Annual Conference takes places online on September 25

A programme has been announced for the Association of Optometrists’ Hospital Optometrists Annual Conference, which takes places online on September 25.

A total of four webinars have been included on the one day event, which included topics such as ocular oncology referral, emergency eye care, glaucoma, and the use of artificial intelligence in predicting eye disease.

Dr Ian Beasley, the AOP’s head of education, said: ‘We’re delighted to be able to facilitate this annual conference for those working in a secondary care setting.’

Speakers from Cardiff University, Google Health, Manchester Royal Eye Hospital Moorfields Eye Hospital and the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield all featured on the programme.
