Clinic openings planned by Newmedica in 2022

Newmedica opened two clinics in Shrewsbury and Norwich in the last three months of 2021 and planned to open a further six surgical centres in the first half of 2022.

Rebecca Lythe, managing director of Newmedica, said: ‘Patient choice is really important and we hope that our new clinics will give NHS patients referred by GPs and opticians, and private patients, the chance to experience our efficient, caring and personalised service for themselves.’

The ophthalmology services provider said it was searching for more sites to increase the geographical spread of its operation in order to ease pressure on the NHS.
