KVIN rebrands to Outlookers

Kirklees Visual Impairment Network has announced its new name

Kirklees Visual Impairment Network (KVIN) has announced that it will rebrand as Outlookers following a branding refresh with creative agency Born+Raised.

The charity was founded in 2008 by people with significant sight loss and tech experience to provide visually impaired people support in the use of technology. It initially provided assistance in the use of screen readers and magnification programmes for computers and laptops and then integrated the use of smartphones and tablets.

In 2014 the charity became a Charity Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and has continued to expand in and around Kirklees, West Yorkshire.

CEO Christine Stephen said: 'We have big ambitions for the organisation in the future, including opening more drop-in centres in the local area and villages of West Yorkshire, making our services more accessible to people with sight loss and offering more training to volunteers to help grow our peer support and technology training services.'
