Total sight tests were up 4 per cent on August, and up almost 5 per cent from last September. The overall trend is still negative, by just -3 per cent, less than August, which means the decline over the last 12 months, September to September, is less than the average decline of August to August.
The number of NHS tests as a percentage of total eye examinations remained consistent at 69 per cent.
