Optrafair 2005 was reported to be one of the most successful in the event's 70-year history, with just under 12,000 delegates pacing the halls of the Birmingham National Exhibition Centre. This year, all signs suggest that the numbers will be higher still with online pre-registrations three times higher than the number for 2005.

Setting the agenda

Once again, exhibitors from all areas of the optical industry - from fashion frame manufacturers to contact lens companies and equipment suppliers - will be showing their latest products. However, each will have a slightly different agenda, notes Andrew Actman, chairman of the FMO.
