As the half year results are now in, we are reviewing how the benchmarks have performed for the first six months of the calendar year against the same period in 2014 and 2013, alongside our normal analysis of how the figures measure up to the previous month and last June. The first half of 2015 has seen an increase in the number of eye examinations and total turnover compared to the first half of 2014 but the average turnover per eye examination is slightly lower. All our indicators, with the exception of turnover per eye examination, are down from last month and most have not reached those of June last year.
