Boots Opticians said its pre-registration optometry students had achieved an ‘exceptionally high pass rate level’ in the College of Optometrists’ latest Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).
Its pass rate for the professional exam was reported as 88.61 per cent – higher than the 85 per cent pass rate of the total 364 candidates.
Ben Fletcher, managing director of Boots Opticians, said: ‘The success of our pre-registration students is incredibly important to Boots Opticians, as we understand the essential role that these newly qualified optometrists will play in paving the way for the future of the profession.’
