CooperVision backs Sochi Winter Olympic athletes

Following Team GB’s impressive performance at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, CooperVision has announced a partnership with eye care practitioners to sponsor three athletes.

The endorsement included contact lenses and eye care for halfpipe skier Rob Taylor, ice hockey player Ben Davies and mogul skier Ellie Koyander (pictured).

Having been prescribed CooperVision’s MyDay lens by Geoff Wilson at The Contact Lens Practice in Birmingham, Koyander said: ‘My sport takes place in a very demanding environment where factors such as altitude and glare come in to play.

I have found MyDay effective both in terms of UV protection and combating the dry air typically found at high altitudes.’
