DOUBLE TAKE: Jubilant CooperVision workers have scooped the Innovation prize at the UK Best Factory Awards. The company's manufacturing team from Hamble near Southampton collected the award last month, together with a certificate in the Best Household & General Products Plant category.
Kevin Barrett, managing director of UK manufacturing, said: 'This was the first time that we had entered the awards, so to hear we had been shortlisted was praise in itself. To then win one of the more prestigious awards of the event is a great tribute to the whole CooperVision UK manufacturing workforce.'
