Full house for ID06 event

Over 100 practitioners have signed up to attend Independents Day ‘06 which takes place at the National Motorcycle Museum on July 4.

The organiser, Proven Track Record, said that despite a certain amount of cynicism within the profession among those who have achieved their CET points total, interest from exhibitors and delegates has been brisk.

‘We are delighted that there has been so much interest in supporting the independent sector through ID06,’ said company director Nick Atkins.
Four more companies have signed up to support the event including equipment suppliers Grafton Optical and WECO.

Alexander Edward Lee and Eyeplan have also pledged their support and both will have advisers on hand during the day to field queries regarding VAT.

The winners of the five free places offered by Optician in its ID06 draw are: Emma Robinson of Lunettes Opticians, Sleaford; Andrew Willetts of Andrew Willetts Opticians, Southport; Philippa Harwood-Little of Cradley; Abigail Page, Ray Small Optometrists, Charlton and Mike Parsons, Williams Optometrists, Benfleet.
