GOC appoints interim director of resources

The General Optical Council (GOC) has appointed an interim director of resources in Mark Webster, who replaces Josie Lloyd.

Contracted for nine months, in this role Webster will manage GOC finance, HR, IT, registration and facilities functions. As a qualified chartered accountant he enters the post on the basis of past roles as finance director for not-for-profit and recruitment organisations.

GOC chief executive Samantha Peters said: ‘Mark brings tremendous experience of not only finance, but also the other functions that he will be overseeing.'
