Ultralase has teamed up with Ireland rugby player Paul O'Connell as its new ambassador in Ireland, becoming the face of the company as Ireland compete in the Six Nations.

A captain of the British and Irish Lions last year, O'Connell joins sportsmen Jonathan Edwards and Sir Steve Redgrave in endorsing the benefits of laser eye treatment with the laser eye specialist. O'Connell, captain of Munster, who no longer has to wear contact lenses when playing, said: 'Laser eye treatment has made a huge difference to my life and the results have been life changing on and off the field.' Ultralase chief executive Tony Veverka said: 'Sportspeople are known for their high standards and strive for excellence, and we at Ultralase are delighted to cater for this demand.'
