jjJohnson & Johnson Vision Care has released an online training tool to further brief eye care professionals on its 1-Day Acuvue Define contact lens.

This included a training video providing practical advice for ‘creating interest in eye enhancement contact lenses in the practice’, with top tips from practitioners on introducing them to patients without the need for additional chair time.

Independent market research conducted by the company has found patients desire a visible but natural-looking difference in their eye appearance.

Johnson & Johnson Vision Care director, professional affairs, UK & Ireland Marcella McParland, said: ‘1-Day Acuvue Define is a brand new contact lens category. Unlike traditional coloured lenses, they enhance the eyes’ natural beauty without altering their colour. Our research revealed that one million women in the UK would say yes to a trial, so the purpose of the new online training video is to help eye care professionals make the most of this exciting opportunity for their practice.’
