J&J formally launch TruEye lens

Johnson & Johnson has formally launched its new daily disposable silicone hydrogel contact lenses, 1 Day Acuvue TruEye across the UK and Ireland.

The lenses are made of narafilcon A, a new silicone hydrogel material which J&J said was designed specifically for use in daily disposable lenses, delivering 98 per cent of available oxygen to the eye.

British badminton Olympian Donna Kellogg has been testing the lenses and wore them while competing in Beijing. 'I used to use a fortnightly lens, but the convenience of a fresh pair every day is great,' she commented.
