
Mei, a producer of lens-edging machines and optical solutions, has acquired a minority share in the Israeli start-up flō Optics.
Active since 2019 and with a background in inkjet technology, flō Optics offered solutions for applying coating layers to lenses using additive manufacturing, aiming to digitalise the process.
‘We found an affinity with the disruptive innovative approach of flō Optics,’ said Stefano Sonzogni, president of Mei.
Jonathan Jaglom, chair and CEO of flō Optics, added: ‘We are immensely proud to be partnering with Mei. Being a leader in its field, Mei gives us the opportunity to tap into its vast knowledge in the ophthalmic market.’
