Mido 'driving force for eyewear economy'

Milan's optical tradeshow MIDO wrapped up this weekend (Feb 8-10) spanning seven pavilions of the Fiera Milano Rho Exhibition centre, organisers described the event as a 'driving force for the international eyewear economy' as over 42,000 buyers, distributors, opticians and eyewear professionals gathered. 

Led by the first female president of MIDO & ANFAO (Italian Optical Manufacturers Association), Lorraine Berton, organisers concluded: 'The 53rd edition of MIDO opened with many visitors from around the globe, with pre-registered numbers up about 15% over last year and more than 1,200 exhibitors, 150 of them new entries, spread across seven pavilions and eight exhibit areas. An additional 1,000m2 of exhibit space (compared to 2024) were needed to accommodate everyone.’
