An optometrist has been honoured with a heritage plaque to mark his work on community projects.
Moaz Nanjuwany, who has been practising at Hammonds Eye Practice on Tottenham High Road since 1981, was credited as part of a scheme by Tottenham Traders Partnership, Haringey Council and the Metropolitan Police.
The council has also supported independents in the area by publishing discount booklets, running competitions and applying for improvement funds.
Nanjuwany said: ‘We want the High Road to be a place that is attractive, open for business and promotes and embraces its heritage.’
