Tottenham OO helps shape riot rescue plan

Optometrist Moaz Nanjuwany has taken a leading role in helping his high street recover from this month's riots.

Nanjuwany, who runs Hammonds Eye Practice in London's Tottenham, met an extensive list of dignitaries in the aftermath of the violence and looting. Visitors to Tottenham High Road included Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, Labour leader Ed Miliband, Mayor of London Boris Johnson and Prince Charles.

As chairman of the Tottenham Traders Partnership, Nanjuwany was on hand to represent local businesses affected by looting, fires and vandalism.

He was also interviewed on BBC London Today, Sky News, Radio 4's Today programme and other international media channels and magazines.
