Delegates in Birmingham were told that those finding difficulty in attending a peer discussion group due to exceptional circumstances may be eligible to participate via online real-time audio and video services.
A new strategy to improve eye care for patients in Northern Ireland has been approved by the College of Optometrists. The College said a new five-year eye care strategy encouraged greater partnership between eye care professionals to prevent leading causes of sight loss in the country. Kamlesh Chauhan, president of the College of Optometrists, said: 'We look forward to this initiative from the government to help improve the early detection and prevention of sight-threatening conditions such as glaucoma and macular degeneration.'
