With the international spotlight on how personal data is handled, Optix Software has received a timely wISO 27001 data security accreditation from independent information security specialists.
Accreditation, given after a six-month project, ensures all customer data is protected from security breaches, such as data being accessed without permission, or being stolen, corrupted or lost. Andrew Harrison, financial director of Optix Software, said: ‘It gave us the independent stamp of approval to demonstrate our best practice approach that we preach to our customers. Given that we host our customers’ data on our York site, it was doubly important that we had independent verification that worked in line with best practice standards.’
