A faculty of 30 contact lens and anterior eye specialists has been put together by the British Contact Lens Association (BCLA) to give presentations at events around the UK.
The BCLA said the faculty would provide local and national associations with expert speakers to deliver high-quality presentations on a wide range of topics.
BCLA council member and optometrist Brian Tompkins recently spoke at the Association of Optometrists' National Student Eye Opener conference in Skegness.
Another council member, Dr Catharine Chisholm of the University of Bradford, was the BCLA speaker at the Specsavers Professional Advancement Committee conference in Birmingham.
