New figures reveal that the number of people whose sight was saved by a cornea transplant in 2005-06 was the highest in nearly a decade.
In total 2,502 people received ‘the gift of sight’ between April 1 2005 and March 31 2006. Co-founder of Specsavers, Mary Perkins, joined the effort to gain more donors, and said the multiple was delighted to be part of the Rotary Cornea & Tissue campaign.
