Specsavers returned to the advertising scene with its latest ‘Should’ve gone to…’ television series last weekend during the prime-time X Factor slot.
The advert, directed by Hungryman’s Tim Bullock, sees a short-sighted Zumba aerobics instructor enter a bingo evening for the elderly at a community centre. Initially, the group look bemused, but before long they join in.
Specsavers dreative director Graham Daldry, said: ‘It’s a feel-good commercial that we hope will be fun to watch again and again.’ The multiple last month agreed to pull one of its ads and pay libel damages to cricketer Kevin Pietersen (News 11.10.13).
