An ophthalmic technician charged with killing his partner at their Devon home last week has been remanded in custody.
Andrew Grundy, aged 36 of Paignton, appeared before Torquay Magistrates' Court last Saturday to confirm his identity and address. Grundy, who claimed to work as an ophthalmic technician, is charged with murdering Hazel Galloway on January 24. He is due to appear before Exeter Crown Court on May 2 and his solicitor Philip Miles said there was no application being made for bail.
Police discovered Galloway's body after being called to the couple's shared property in Polsham Park because of 'concerns for her welfare'.
