Optometrists based in Yorkshire are being urged to help raise finds for Vision Aid Overseas by emailing a specialist eye hospital their details.
Yorkshire Eye Hospital is pledging to donate £5 for every email received from optometrists throughout Yorkshire, to the overseas vision charity. The hospital is currently developing an educational programme for optometrists and needs updated records of practitioners to complete the project.
Vision Aid aims to create a network of rehabilitation in under-served areas in India by 2020, in alignment with the World Health Organisation Vision 2020 initiative.
Optometrists should email their details to info@yorkshireeyehospital.co.uk and a confirmation email that the £5 donation has generation will be sent.
