Before the ink is dry on nomination papers, knives are already out in what may turn out to be an election to put the Labour Party in the shade. It’s not Blair and Brown who are making hot news in the Daily Mail, no doubt both are delighted that the election heat is being taken off of them by no less a personality then James Murray Wells.
A man who takes every opportunity to bash the optical world and now predictably shouts foul and accuses Doug Perkins, almost of equal fame, of gerrymandering, for encouraging his optometrist associates to vote for one of their own in the forthcoming General Optical Council elections.
